Running this machine
- CO2 with real extraction and wattage: the whole range is open, and thicker stock is routine rather than a stretch.
- Both 1/8" and 1/4" cut cleanly; 1/4" is where this class of machine pulls ahead of the desktop ones.

Never put these in a laser
PVC, vinyl and Sintra release chlorine gas when lasered — it is toxic to you and corrodes the machine from the inside. Polycarbonate (Lexan) discolors, cuts badly and can catch fire. Acrylic is the material these machines are built around. More on choosing laser stock.
