Mirror Acrylic
Mirror acrylic is acrylic sheet with a reflective coating on the back, sealed under a painted backing: the face you look into is plain acrylic, and the mirror sits behind it. Like the rest of our acrylic it is about half the weight of glass and far harder to shatter, which is why it goes where a glass mirror is heavy or risky — retail and display fixtures, backdrops and photo walls, signage and lettering, props and sets, furniture inlays, and craft and laser work.
Silver comes in 1/16", 1/8" and 1/4"; gray, gold, rose gold, red, teal and blue come in 1/8". Every piece is cut to your exact size and ships with its protective film on. Leave the film on until the piece is installed and protect the painted back as carefully as the face: a mark on the backing shows in the reflection. Choose a saw-cut, flame-polished or diamond-polished edge, pick a standard size or enter your own up to 48" per side, and see the price instantly. Orders ship as a parcel, under 45 lb packaged, to the contiguous US only. No minimum order.

Which side of the sheet is the mirror?
The reflective coating is on the back of the sheet, under a painted backing. You look through the clear acrylic face into it, so the mirror you see is behind the material. That is why the back needs as much care as the front: a scratch or chip in the backing shows in the reflection. Handle pieces by the edges, never slide one across another, and leave the protective film on until the piece is installed.
Which thickness should I choose?
The thickness decides how flat the piece holds, and a mirror shows every bit of bow. 1/16" flexes easily and wants a rigid backing glued or framed behind it over its whole area. 1/8" is the lightest thickness that holds itself flat in a frame, and it is the thickness every mirror color comes in. 1/4" silver stands up on its own and spans further without visible bow, for free-standing pieces and larger panels.
Can mirror acrylic be laser cut?
Yes, on a CO2 laser only. A CO2 machine cuts it; cut a test piece from an offcut before committing a sheet, as you would with any new material. Never put it in a diode laser: a diode's beam passes through clear acrylic and meets the reflective coating behind it, so it is not a diode material at any thickness.
What edge finishes are available?
The same three as every acrylic we cut: saw cut to a square edge, flame polished, or diamond polished. Pick the edge in the configurator and the price updates with it.
What sizes can I order, and is there a minimum?
Twelve standard sizes from 12" x 12" up, or any custom size you enter up to 48" per side, priced as you type. There is no minimum order. Silver comes in 1/16", 1/8" and 1/4"; gray, gold, rose gold, red, teal and blue in 1/8". Every piece ships as a parcel, under 45 lb packaged, to the contiguous US only.
