Pastel Acrylic
Pastel acrylic is an opaque 1/8" sheet in ten soft colors — pistachio, mint, glacier, lilac, salmon, peach, mocha, blush, denim and lavender — with a gloss finish on one face and a matte finish on the other, so one sheet gives you two looks and you choose which face shows. Nothing behind the piece shows through, which is why it suits signage and lettering, retail and display fixtures, nursery and home decor, name plates and door signs, keychains and craft pieces, and layered work that wants a quiet color instead of a loud one.
Both faces ship paper-masked. Leave the paper on until the piece is installed: the matte face hides fingerprints and cuts glare, and it will not polish back if it is scratched. Which face is gloss and which is matte?
Every pastel sheet has a gloss finish on one face and a matte finish on the other, and both come paper-masked. Peel a corner to check which is which, then decide which face shows. The matte face hides fingerprints and cuts glare, and it will not polish back to gloss if it is scratched, so keep the paper on until the piece is installed.
Can pastel acrylic be laser cut?
Yes, on a CO2 laser, which cuts 1/8" acrylic cleanly. Cut a test piece from an offcut before committing a sheet. We have not tested the pastels on a diode laser, so do not count on one.
Is pastel acrylic see-through?
No. All ten pastel colors are opaque: nothing behind the piece shows through, so they cover what sits under them in layered work, name plates and door signs. They are not the sheet for a backlit piece — if the light has to come through, choose a translucent acrylic instead.
What sizes can I order, and is there a minimum?
Twelve standard sizes from 12" x 12" up, or any custom size you enter up to 48" per side, priced as you type. There is no minimum order. All ten colors come in 1/8". Every piece ships as a parcel to the contiguous US only.
