How does cut to size work?
Pick one of our standard sizes, or type your exact width × height (anywhere from 12″ to 48″ per side). The price updates instantly — no quote required for straight cuts. Every piece ships with a clean saw-cut edge included; you can add flame- or diamond-polished edges, and add a cutting service if you want one piece divided into smaller pieces.
What sizes can I order?
Choose a standard stock size or enter any custom dimensions from 12″ to 48″ on each side. Custom straight cuts are priced instantly at checkout — no quote needed.
What are the dimensional tolerances?
Acrylic sheet thickness runs to ±10% of the nominal thickness. Sheet length and width are held to approximately ±1/8″. Saw-cut pieces — which is all of our cutting — are held to approximately ±1/16″ to ±1/8″.
What edge finishes are available?
Every piece includes a standard saw-cut edge at no charge. For a smoother, glossier finish, add flame-polished edges; for a clear, machined finish, add diamond-polished edges. Exact pricing is shown live as you configure your piece.
How does the cutting service work?
If you want one piece divided into smaller pieces with straight cuts, add the cutting service: $5.00 for the first cut and $3.00 for each additional cut. For example, cutting a 24″ × 24″ piece into four 12″ × 12″ pieces takes three cuts, for $11.00. Cuts are totaled across each line.
How does shipping work?
All orders ship via a parcel carrier we partner with. Live rates are calculated at checkout. We do not ship full oversized sheets by parcel — sizes are limited to what ships as a standard parcel.
How long does production take?
Orders typically ship within two to five business days of payment for in-stock materials. Production begins once payment clears. You'll receive a tracking number by email when your order ships. Note that not every color and thickness is stocked at all times — see the next question.
Is every color and thickness always in stock?
No. Everything is made to order, and we carry a wide range of colors and thicknesses, so not every combination is in stock at all times. If something you order is temporarily out of stock, we make or source it and ship as soon as it's back in — you don't need to do anything, and we'll email you if there's a delay. If you have a deadline, email us before you order (or reply to your order confirmation) and we'll confirm the expected ship date for your color and thickness.
Is there a minimum order?
No. There is no minimum order — order a single piece if that's all you need.
Do I get the offcut pieces?
We cut your pieces from whatever sheet or stock yields them best — sometimes several different sheets — so offcuts from “your” sheet aren’t a defined thing. You receive exactly the pieces in your order. If you want the cut-away pieces from a cutting service included, ask in the order-notes field when you place the order; we’ll include what we can, up to the material you purchased.
Can you cut notches, holes, or curves?
Yes — anything beyond a straight cut (notches, holes, rounded corners, or curves) is handled by quote. Head to our quote page and send us a drawing, DXF, DWG, or PDF, and we'll price it for you.
Is there a credit card surcharge?
Yes — a 2.9% surcharge applies to card transactions, disclosed at checkout before you complete your purchase. Surcharging is not applied in states where it's prohibited, and debit cards are not surcharged.
Can I return or cancel a custom order?
No. All cut-to-size and made-to-order pieces are custom fabricated and non-refundable. Please double-check your dimensions before completing your order.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Inspect your shipment as soon as it arrives. If anything looks damaged, photograph the packaging and the contents before you discard anything, and keep all the original packaging materials — the carrier may need to inspect them to process a claim. Then report the damage, shortage, or any discrepancy to us in writing at quote@vipplastics.com within two (2) business days of delivery, with your photos. Claims reported after that window, or without the original packaging retained, may not be honored. You'll find the full process in our Terms & Conditions of Sale.
