Running this machine
- CO2, so clear, frosted and the fluorescents are all available.
- These are production machines and tend to run the same job repeatedly — ordering every layer of a multi-layer piece at one size keeps registration simple.
- Both offered thicknesses suit it; pick on rigidity rather than on what the machine can manage.
Never put these in a laser
PVC, vinyl and Sintra release chlorine gas when lasered — it is toxic to you and corrodes the machine from the inside. Polycarbonate (Lexan) discolors, cuts badly and can catch fire. Acrylic is the material these machines are built around. More on choosing laser stock.
