1/8" glass green matte in practice
Transparent stock at 1/8" reads as a clean pane — you see the object behind it, not the material.
This is the lightest gauge that still holds itself flat in a frame, which is why it is the default for signage faces and glazing where something else carries the load.
In a laser: a CO2 machine cuts this cleanly and leaves a flame-polished edge. A diode laser will not cut it at any setting — the beam passes straight through transparent acrylic.
The matte face hides fingerprints and cuts glare, and it will not polish back to gloss if scratched — keep the masking on until the piece is installed.
1/8" glass green matte (colour 3030M) runs $6.57 per square foot at this gauge and weighs about 0.78 lb per square foot, so a 24″ × 48″ piece comes to roughly 6.2 lb — worth knowing before you size a panel someone has to lift or ship.
Why 1/8" glass green matte acrylic?
The thinnest acrylic we stock, and the most economical. At 1/8″ it stays light and easy to handle, which makes it a go-to for signage, glazing, picture-frame glass, and point-of-purchase displays. It has some flex in larger panels, so it's best where it's framed or supported rather than free-standing.

Glass Green Matte carries the same green-tinted, plate-glass look as our transparent 3030, but with one frosted side that diffuses light and knocks down glare. It gives a spa-like, sea-glass feel to partitions, shelving, and decorative panels where you want a hint of color and a soft surface rather than a mirror.
