Why 1/4" red acrylic?
The all-purpose workhorse and our most popular thickness. At 1/4″, acrylic is rigid enough to stand on its own in most sizes, which is why it's the default for tabletops, shelving, risers, desk shields, and protective barriers. If you're unsure which thickness to choose, this is usually the right starting point.
About Red acrylic
Red 2283 is a translucent red, close in family to our other reds but its own shade. Backlit it produces an even red glow; unlit it's vivid and opaque-looking. Good for signage, displays, and craft builds. Specify 2283 when matching existing material.
