1/8" glass green in practice
Transparent stock at 1/8" reads as a clean pane — you see the object behind it, not the material.
This is the lightest thickness that still holds itself flat in a frame, which is why it is the default for signage faces and glazing where something else carries the load.
In a laser: a CO2 machine cuts this cleanly and leaves a flame-polished edge. A diode laser will not cut it at any setting — the beam passes straight through transparent acrylic.
1/8" glass green (color 2111) starts at $4.85 for a 12″ × 12″ piece at this thickness, and weighs about 0.78 lb per square foot, so a 24″ × 48″ piece comes to roughly 6.2 lb — worth knowing before you size a panel someone has to lift or ship.
Why 1/8" glass green acrylic?
The thinnest acrylic we stock, and the most economical. At 1/8″ it stays light and easy to handle, which makes it a go-to for signage, glazing, picture-frame glass, and point-of-purchase displays. It has some flex in larger panels, so it's best where it's framed or supported rather than free-standing.
About Glass Green acrylic
Glass Green 2111 is a see-through green — the name is literal: it's the soft green you see when you look into the edge of a sheet of plate glass, here tinting the whole panel with a clean, glass-like character. Closely related to 3030. Use it for decorative glazing, display cases, and panels that should read as tinted glass. Quote 2111 when matching an existing green-glass panel.
