1/8" denim pastel in practice
At 1/8" the surface finish carries the look; the material itself is doing structural work.
This is the lightest thickness that still holds itself flat in a frame, which is why it is the default for signage faces and glazing where something else carries the load.
In a laser: a CO2 machine cuts 1/8" acrylic cleanly; cut a test piece from an offcut before committing the sheet. We have not tested the pastels on a diode laser, so do not count on one.
One face is gloss and the other matte, and both ship paper-masked, so you choose which face shows. The matte face hides fingerprints and cuts glare, and it will not polish back to gloss if scratched — keep the paper on until the piece is installed.
1/8" denim pastel (color GSM13) starts at $7.91 for a 12″ × 12″ piece at this thickness, and weighs about 0.78 lb per square foot, so a 24″ × 48″ piece comes to roughly 6.2 lb — worth knowing before you size a panel someone has to lift or ship.
Why 1/8" denim pastel acrylic?
The thinnest acrylic most jobs call for, and the most economical. At 1/8″ it stays light and easy to handle, which makes it a go-to for signage, glazing, picture-frame glass, and point-of-purchase displays. It has some flex in larger panels, so it's best where it's framed or supported rather than free-standing.

Denim Pastel GSM13 is a deep slate blue pastel acrylic with a gloss face and a matte face, in 1/8". It is the deeper of our two blue pastels — glacier GSM21 is the lighter, grayer one — and suits signage, decor panels, name plates and layered craft work. Reference the code when matching.
