1/8" blush pastel in practice
At 1/8" the surface finish carries the look; the material itself is doing structural work.
This is the lightest thickness that still holds itself flat in a frame, which is why it is the default for signage faces and glazing where something else carries the load.
In a laser: a CO2 machine cuts 1/8" acrylic cleanly; cut a test piece from an offcut before committing the sheet. We have not tested the pastels on a diode laser, so do not count on one.
One face is gloss and the other matte, and both ship paper-masked, so you choose which face shows. The matte face hides fingerprints and cuts glare, and it will not polish back to gloss if scratched — keep the paper on until the piece is installed.
1/8" blush pastel (color GSM18) starts at $8.03 for a 12″ × 12″ piece at this thickness, and weighs about 0.78 lb per square foot, so a 24″ × 48″ piece comes to roughly 6.2 lb — worth knowing before you size a panel someone has to lift or ship.
Why 1/8" blush pastel acrylic?
The thinnest acrylic most jobs call for, and the most economical. At 1/8″ it stays light and easy to handle, which makes it a go-to for signage, glazing, picture-frame glass, and point-of-purchase displays. It has some flex in larger panels, so it's best where it's framed or supported rather than free-standing.
About Blush Pastel acrylic
Blush Pastel GSM18 is a dusty mauve-pink pastel acrylic — a soft pink pulled toward gray — with a gloss face and a matte face, in 1/8", for name signs, nursery and wedding pieces, retail displays and craft work. Reference the code when matching; salmon GSM05 is the warmer, more orange pink and lilac GSM15 the purpler one.
